While walking to class today.....

On my way to class today I saw this guy out in the lawn by The ECS building throwing a football by himself.  He would stand there, get ready to throw, than give it the old college hail Mary across the field (which at best was probably 25 feet.. feel kinda bad for him).  Then after the ball was received by the invisible receiver, he would walk over to where the ball sat on the ground, pick it up, and then throw it back.  While walking to my class I was able to witness him do this routine a few times.  Coincidently, when I was walking in the radius of his throwing capabilities, the ball landed right next to me. So, being the wonderful friendly Baylor student I am, I picked the ball up and kindly tossed it back at him. We both nodded at each other as I headed on my way to class and he threw it to imaginary Kendal Wright.  No words were exchanged over this awkward, but interesting, confrontation.

Thought of the day

If you were to take the half of something, and take half of that half again over and over..... would you ever be left with nothing, or just a smaller half?....... o.O

iPhone apps are worthless. . . and I wasted $20 on a book to teach me to make them

I was looking through my phone today a noticed that I really do not have any apps that I downloaded off the app store.  All I have is what came with the phone and about 3 or 4 news apps I consult daily, but there really isn't one of those, "theres an app for that", app on my phone... why, because its probably easier and more time efficient to do what ever that is you need to do, somewhere else.  There are a lot of free apps, but most of them out there you have to pay for and most of those are CRAP!  I see a ton of scams. . . for instance; I saw this app yesterday that claims to increase your battery life by 50%, then listed all these people saying how awesome it was and what not.  Then down below in the reviews from all the ticked off stupid people for believing this technology exists were complaining how it didn't work, even that it made their battery life worse.  The only way to 'save battery life' on your phone is to use it less, or turn it off (if you have multitasking it does not really effect it if you have a ton of apps running).  So it seems to me that apps are just a way to get stupid peoples money, and they will never stop buying.   When I started looking in to making iPhone apps (so I could become a billionaire) I saw that iTunes takes 30% of the sales of apps.  So if you have a 99 cent app and you sell it to one person you only receive about 69 cents... kinda lame. So I quickly became disinterested because there was no way I would become a billionaire, and I don't have the heart to scam people.  I then determined that this is just another one of apples ways of getting every single penny out of you... like the iPad. . . worthless over sized iTouch... I dont even think the iPad is even practical except to read stuff on like books or the news (I guess you can watch movies too, if you pay a ridiculous amount from iTunes for one).  My dad got one the other day after I told him not to get one or at least wait till they release a new one, but he went a head and got one... So when I first saw it (we were in the car so no internet was available) I turned it on and just kinda scrolled through the app pages, opened iTunes, saw what was up in settings, and looked at the email set up... then after two minutes I put it down, it held my attention for two minutes.  Even typing sucks on this thing. The keyboard is not big enough for you to use it like a regular keyboard, so you have to act like your a baby trying to text on an iPhone. It just doesn't work! For maybe $250 this thing would be really kool, but for $600... not.a.chance.  Apple once again just sucking up the money.. Over the past 5 years my family has probably dumped over 15 grand in to Mac/Apple products.  At Christmas there are more iPhones that grand kids, more iPads than grandparents, and just about a Macbook for everybody.. obsessed? Maybe just a little.. But, I think this proves that apple is great at marketing. Makes everyone want something they don't need and charge a boat load for it, and people keep buying it, even their crap (like an iPod shuffle).  That is why I will be applying to work for Apple as a software programmer after I graduate, because I want to jump on this high profiting bandwagon so I can be the one laughing when you buy a $600 super sized iTouch.

Things I have learned at College... Thus far

1.       If I go to bed at 1am, wake up at 7am.  Then take a 2 hour nap after classes then I’m getting 8 hours of sleep a day! But we all know sleep is for the weak!!
2.       The bathroom doesn’t clean itself anymore like it did at home. . . Baylor needs to upgrade their bathrooms or something…. Same thing with dishes, now they just sit in the sink..
3.       This isn’t something that I learned, but more confirmed.  I am DEFINITELY NOT GAY.  I know there was absolutely no question about that in me, but I just added something else to the long list of why I’m not gay, and that is.. I will never be able to live with another man.. After having 3 roommates and having problems with all of them… I will never be able to live under the same roof as one for the rest of my life. Thank God he created woman!
4.       Studying is no longer recommended….
5.       Cliques still exist. . . they’re called fraternities and sororities… you either pay for friends or get friends the normal way.. GDI for life!!! (Gosh Darn Independent!!- you rush whenever you want). I also learned that cliques still exist in the real world (I also learned that the real world actually does exist too) they are called departments and whether or not you’re in PTA.
6.       Superstitions and college sports have a direct relation… that’s why I have my lucky game day shirt and I stand on one leg the whole game while having a Dr. Pepper in my left hand half empty, not half full…(if it was in my right hand I couldn’t do Sic ‘Em’s).
7.       If I take a shower before I go to bed it takes two weeks before my sheets start to smell and I have to wash them.
8.       The average price for a nice meal outside of campus and not at a fast food restaurant is $10.
9.       Homeless people, a majority of the time, aren’t homeless… and when they ask you for handouts, ask them if they take debit or tell them they have to pay taxes on what you give them and they’ll leave you alone.
10.   If you drink a med. Coffee from Common Grounds at 7:30pm, you will not be able to fall asleep till 3 in the morning… even if you wanted to of course..

Halo Reach is old... and so are you!

I cannot go a single day without having an in-depth conversation about the story of Halo Reach with my roommate, or walk through Penland without hearing at least five separate conversations about the exact same thing by groups of guys (including fat boys with their neon hats and crush shirts, “have you played halo yet brah!”-“not yet Broski!!”).  It’s been two weeks already (tonight at midnight) that this final game to the decade long Halo series was released so you have had more than enough time to play through the campaign multiple times and put in a good twenty hours or so on Xbox live (plus, its basically the same game.. they like haven’t changed really anything since the first one). . .So, we should all be experts on it now and it’s time to move on to something else before a new video game comes to ruin out social life, grades, and chances at getting a lasting relationship… With this said, it might be time to step outside and enjoy this 70 degree Texas weather before it turns 90 degrees once again. Happy Monday afternoon!

First post

I decided to create a blog because Facebook only lets you use 420 characters for your status and sometimes I have more to say than quick one liners. . . So, to step away from the overly popular Facebook that already take up more than enough of my time, I decided to create a blog to fill up even more time (your time too for reading it) and just maybe I will become famous- although highly unlikely. . . I'll be happy if only my mom reads it... I don't know yet all that I can put on this so I put a search box to the right so if you feel you need to google something its right there so go right ahead, and I added a picture of a bear up top... he's pretty kool.  With that said happy Monday morning!
